QUEST 7: Queensland Tour 6000km

Help me to help change the stories of at-risk young Queenslanders - sponsor my Great Queensland Quest today.

As some of my contacts may know, in December 2021 I had an accident and fractured my left leg in four places (tibial plateau fracture & trimalleolar fracture in my ankle).

I spent three weeks in hospital awaiting surgery, which resulted in plates & screws being implanted in my knee & ankle, for eight weeks I was unable to weight bare, meaning I was in a wheelchair and then had a further eight weeks on crutches.

If anyone has experienced a significant injury, you know all too well the struggles with pain & immobility, but also the mental health challenges you face, and I was no stranger to these obstacles.

I'm participating in this quest, not only as a personal challenge, but more importantly to support the amazing work PCYC Queensland do for youth & community.

Each year, more than 50,000 young people walk through the doors of their local PCYC Queensland club - looking to change their story from one of poverty, isolation and uncertain futures to stories of education, empowerment and bright prospects.

I am embarking on the Great Queensland Quest to raise funds to support the youth development and crime prevention programs giving these young people a chance to re-route their lives.

I’m asking for your support as I take on my 50KM virtual adventure across the State - anything you can give will help.

With PCYC Queensland’s 56 clubs across the state, your donation could even help someone in your own community!
